Hilarious New Comic Book for Writers Relieves the Winter Doldrums
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) Just in time to relieve the winter doldrums, Restless Minds Press (RMP) proudly announces the collected work of Richard Krzemien's hilarious, internationally syndicated comic, The Writer at Work. This 80-page book features the best of Krzemien's full-color comics, as well as a chapter of humorous revelations from award-winning writers and authors. It also contains a foreword by Academy Award®-winning screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin (Ghost, Jacob's Ladder, My Life, Deep Impact). A long-time fan of the comic, Rubin says " The Writer at Work finds more humor in the writing experience than anything else I've ever come across."
The Writer at Work highlights the trials and tribulations of its main character The Writer, by incorporating a unique style that mixes the working world of Dilbert with the absurdity of The Far Side . Since its debut in 2001, The Writer at Work has grown into the leading internationally syndicated comic for writers. It is distributed by Restless Minds Press and appears regularly in magazines such as "The Writer" and "Canadian Screenwriter." The comic can be viewed online by visiting www.TheWriterAtWork.com
Richard Krzemien created The Writer at Work in 2001, exactly one month before 9/11. Recalling that anxious period Krzemien says, “I love to make people laugh. But if you recall, right after 9/11 all humor was banned. Then duct tape was selected as our first line of defense against terrorism and comedy soon returned. The absurdity of that notion inspired me to draw a cartoon about a writer who shields himself from criticism by completely wrapping himself up in duct tape.” ( See attached comics.)
Richard Krzemien is a member of the Writers Guild of America (WGA). Some of Krzemien's noted TV writing credits include "War of the Worlds," "The New Twilight Zone," and creator of the first story to feature the infamous Ferengi on "Star Trek: The Next Generation."
